An update to GEARS cloud and GEARS client will be released on 1/20/15. No downtime is expected for this update. No action is needed.
GEARS cloud changes:
- New feature: Policy setting for advanced selection of hard disk encryption products by vendor and version
- New feature: Initial batch of v2 device APIs is available
- Fix: Various UI issues in console have been fixed
- Fix: Event log time filters now properly enforced
GEARS client changes:
- New feature: AppRemover beta received significant bug fixes and enhancements
(This feature is currently disabled by default. You must edit the client customization package to enable it.)
- Change: OSX 10.6 is no longer supported
- Change: Windows XP support is temporarily suspended
- Enhancement: New look for installers
- Enhancement: Malware scanning license usage algorithm is more efficient
- Fix: GEARS cloud reporting for 3rd party patch management status is fixed (Windows)
- Fix: Fixed an issue that caused high CPU usage in WmiPrvSE (Windows)
- Enhancement: Browser cookie API integration for Box.com improved (Windows)
