On Aug 20th, 2018, we released a version of the Package Efficacy Report which contains incorrect malware detection rate data by accident. This was misleading the performance and reliability of individual anti-malware engine as well as the MetaDefender Core package. An updated version of report has been published on Aug 29th, 2018 which resolved the data correctness issue. Our engineering team also enhanced the malware validation system to reduce false positive samples and upgraded the release process to prevent similar issues from happening in the future.
